Lucide version 1.3.3 beta has been released (8/26/2010); this is a multi-purpose document viewer, using plugins for different formats. It currently supports PDF, DjVu documents, and JPEG files; additional formats can be added by third party programmers. The program is now open source, and distributed under the CDDL and LGPL.

pdlzip version 1.1 has been ported (8/21/2010) to OS/2. This is a public domain lossless file compressor that is almost as fast as gzip, and compresses better than bzip2. Also available are clzip version 1.0 and lzip version 1.11rc4, a C version and the original C++ version of the code, respectively.

The latest build includes improved support for USB printers. Also available (4/10/2009) is a CUPS port driver, which allows interfacing the standard OS/2 printing subsystem with CUPS. CUPS is the Common Unix Printing System; the goal is to improve the printing support in eComStation. Mensys has begun beta testing a driver for the wired Intel Gigabit network chipsets, based on the Linux e1000 kernel module. It is released under the GNU Public License and anyone can request access to the source repository; eComStation software subscribers can download the driver from the BetaZone. DFSee has been updated (7/28/2010) to version 10.5. DFSee is an FDISK, display, analysis and recovery tool for disks and filesystems, including HPFS, NTFS, FAT, JFS, EXT2, EXT3, and ReiserFS. It includes the ability to resize partitions, cloning and imaging, undelete files, and more. There is also a support forum available.

Samba client versions 1.5.2 and 1.6 beta 1 have been released (7/6/2010), based on Samba 3.0.37 and 3.3.13, respectively. This is a plugin for the NetDrive Filesystem (or EVFS), which allows you to mount SMB or CIFS shares on OS/2 without the need of NetBIOS (IBM LAN Manager or IBM Peer). Also updated (7/7/2010) are the Samba client utilities, to version 1.1.0, also based on Samba version 3.3.13.
EasySync version 1.0.2 has been released (7/5/2010). This PM syncronisation and backup utility lets you see at a glance what files need to be updated between two directories, whether they reside on the same machine or separate computers on the network. Transfer can be set to bi-directional to fully synchronize two directories, or uni-directional to limit what is updated.
Workplace Sans version 0.7.1 and Workplace Sans Bold version 0.4 have been released. This is a Unicode TrueType outline font that is designed to resemble the OS/2 bitmap font "WarpSans." Also available is Workplace Gothic and Workplace Gothic Bold version 0.1, a Unicode TrueType outline font with similar proportions to Workplace Sans and WarpSans, but with a rounder, more natural appearance.

GBM version 1.67 has been released (6/18/2010). Generalised Bitmap Module is a library for handling many different bitmap file formats, and is used by applications like Mesa, PM-Raw, and PM-Exif. It includes a PM bitmap viewer and editor. It now features a REXX interface library, as well as plugins for Lucide and Mozilla. The source code is freely available and released as public domain. The latest features include support for JPEG 2000, including the OpenJPEG library and tools.
MindTerm version 3.4 is now available (6/14/2010); this is a SSH client written in Java.

This is a highly portable multimedia player and multimedia framework capable of reading most audio and video formats (MPEG-2, MPEG-4, H.264, DivX, MPEG-1, mp3, ogg, aac ...) as well as DVDs, Audio CDs VCDs, and various streaming protocols.
FM/2 version 3.18 has been released (5/30/2010). This is an open source GUI file manager program, with lots of extra helper utilities. The source code is available from netlabs.org.

DBCSMAP version 1.4 has been released (2/20/2010). This is a character map program for Unicode and selected DBCS codepages (Chinese, Japanese, and Korean). OWPZip version 1.02 has been released. This extends the WPS with archive folders supporting PKZIP archives through drag-and-drop, with transparent compression, decompression, and opening and viewing of contents.

libkva version 1.1.1 has been released (2/2/2010). This is a library for displaying video streams, which supports SNAP video overlays, WarpOverlay!, and DIVE. It has been used in KMP and recent ports of MPlayer.

A tool for using the CanoScan 4400F scanner has been updated. It allows you to scan paper, photos, slides, and film in color, greyscale, and bitonal.
x264 version 0.83.x has been ported (1/24/2010) to OS/2. This is a H.264 (MPEG4 AVC) encoder library.
File version 5.0.4 has been ported (1/23/2010) to OS/2. This utility can identify the data type of several thousands of types of files, without relying on extensions.
The SunnyIcons component of eSchemes Deluxe has been updated (1/21/2010) to version 2.1 RC6. The Piano Launchpad component is at version 1.38 (7/22/2008), and the Imagination component is at version 3.10 (4/6/2008). SunnyIcons offers support for PNG icons (warning: it conflicts with WPS Wizard!). Imagination consists of new WPS classes which simplify browsing of pictures; it offers a preview window and image viewing, with support for many common graphics formats. Maul Publisher version 3.16a has been released (1/9/2010). Maul Publisher is "the world's first professional desktop publisher for OS/2 Warp."
