8:00 p.m. Feature presentation, Cory Hamasaki Kiyo Design, Inc, Redwood CASE Tool for S/370

About the program:

Cory has been working on REDWOOD, a 32 bit native OS/2 application. REDWOOD is a CASE
tool for S/370 mainframe applications. It is written in C/C++ using IBM CSet++ 2.1,
Hockware VisPro C++, and Object Desktop 1.5.

REDWOOD addresses Year 2000 issues on S/370 mainframes. It finds dates in EBCDIC data
files. Maps the data to a report, DSECT, struct, STRUCTURE, or FD. It essentially
decompiles data in to source programs.

REDWOOD is Version 0.65 Beta and generates COBOL, C/C++, PL/I, and some S/370 assembly
language.

Topics of discussion:

1) The Year 2000 problem in general, how it applies to PC's and OS/2

2) Why REDWOOD is hosted on OS/2

3) How I use the OS/2 environment, Object Desktop, VisPro, and CSet to create a
commercial application. I can bring in a computer and show the build process and how
the environment and tools interact.

4) The status and plans for REDWOOD and why I've spent a year working on it. I can
demonstrate the REDWOOD beta including source code generation.

Cory Hamasaki is a consultant and proprietor of Kiyo Design, Inc. an OS/2 only store in Annapolis MD.
