Feature presentation, Richard Price, Smack!, the new labeling program for OS/2 from PerfectNiche Software.
About the program:
-----------------
Extracted from program help:
Smack! is a powerful, graphical program to help you design and create mailing labels, videotape labels, envelopes, or any other document that can reasonably be construed as a label. In fact, it's so powerful that we sometimes call it a desktop publisher for very tiny documents.
Smack! is a fully Workplace Shell aware OS/2 application. It takes advantage of OS/2's many benefits, from drag-and-drop to multithreading. The application uses templates, and REXX is its native macro language. (Indeed, as you'll see, Smack! data files are stored using REXX.) Like OS/2, Smack! has a consistent, predictable user interface. If you re familiar with the OS/2 Workplace Shell (WPS), then you ll be comfortable with Smack! in no time.
Smack! lets you print labels on any printer supported by OS/2, and supports almost every predefined label format. It lets you use varying fonts, color, and graphics on your labels, and control the object placement with precision. You can import data from several data formats, or drag and drop data from other popular OS/2 applications. Smack! supports an infinite Undo, making it easy for you to experiment until you get your labels just right.
