February 12, 1997 About the program: ----------------- Each of us has a few OS/2 favorites: commercial software, shareware, hardware, games, customization tips 'n' tricks. We'll compile a list of CPCUG OS/2 SIG favorites and provide that to SIG members in a future mailing. Think about *YOUR* favorite(s) and come prepared to share them -- in short, informal talks -- with the rest of the group. If you don't know where to start, muse on the following: - does your OS/2 favorite ... help you solve some particularly thorny (business) problem, in an especially creative way? - does your OS/2 favorite ... come with especially good vendor support (i.e., the vendor knows how to do more than merely spell O-S-/-2? - is your OS/2 favorite ... just plain fun?! - is your OS/2 favorite ... easier to use than its competition? - does your OS/2 favorite ... give better value than its competition (more capabilities at less expense)? Your favorite might be a business-oriented application (personal contact manager, personal finance software, image/graphics manipulation software, word processor, etc.); a game; software for the care and feeding of OS/2 itself (backup/restore software, system performance monitor, desktop presentation software, INI-file "cleaner-upper", etc.); or a particular hardware device (graphics adapter, multimedia adapater, printer, etc.). Everyone one has favorites! Come to our February meeting and share yours!
