About the program: Southside Software has recently released Version 1.5 of its shareware program PMMAIL. This version includes many usability features, including tabbed notebooks for settings, support for multiple accounts, adjustable message list columns and "Drag-N-Drop All Over The Place." In addition, there are signficant enhancements for filtering (via basic filters, as well as REXX send and receive exits). NEWS FROM ADOBE The following posted by Adobe on May 28, 1996: A2 Acrobat Reader for OS/2 - Expiration date extended == ======= ====== === ==== = ========== ==== ======== As some of you may have noticed, the Acrobat reader will begin giving a warning message starting Sunday that the reader you have will soon expire. We have posted a new reader on our Web site (www.adobe.com) that has the expiration date extended to September 30. A NEW BETA VERSION OF THE READER WILL BE AVAILABLE SHORTLY. WE ADVISE THOSE WHO ARE NOT CONCERNED ABOUT THE READER EXPIRING FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME TO WAIT FOR THE BETA RELEASE OF THE OS/2 READER. WE ANTICIPATE THIS RELEASE VERY SHORTLY AFTER THE EXPIRATION DATE OF THE CURRENT A2 READER. - The Acrobat for OS/2 Team PEOPLE NEWS Many of our long time CPCUG OS/2 SIG members and area Team OS/2 participants know Janet Gobeille, who left our area a couple of years ago and moved first to New York, and later to Austin (still with IBM). In January, she moved again (to Dallas) and a month later announced her engagement to Gerry Crenshaw. The two will be married in San Diego on 6 July 1996. Her worldwide network of OS/2 friends will hold a "virtual" reception on the Internet.
